GetRunning Race Day Tip: Pack an after-run bag.
Check the forecast and lay out a change of clothes and shoes. You’ll cool down quite quickly when you stop, so put in warm clothing. Pop in a towel and a plastic bag for your wet gear. A packet of wet wipes is also a great idea.
Even if you don’t feel like eating, it’s vital for your recovery to re-hydrate and refuel as soon as you can after you finish, so pack some snacks.
Don’t forget to pack a small amount of cash so you can enjoy a post-run massage, a coffee and an ice cream in Victoria Park!
