Make your race day easy and stress-free with our event transport services. The following services will be available to purchase should you choose to let us take care of your transport on the day. Please note, you can book this while entering, or at a later date, subject to availability. We recommend you book early to avoid disappointment.
FERRY SERVICE - Pre Race
Fullers Ferries will be available to take participants from the Downtown Ferry Building on Quay Street to the Marathon and Half Marathon start at Devonport. This is a pre-race chartered service and the first ferries will leave at 4:20am. Fullers Ferries will also be available from Birkenhead and Bayswater to the start at Devonport. There is one pre-race charter service from Birkenhead leaving at 5:00am and stopping via Bayswater at 5:15am. Participants can purchase Ferry Tickets for $10.00 one way, or $20.00 for a return ticket (note return tickets applicable for supporters only to return to the finish line) when completing their online entry form, or at registration subject to availability. We recommend you book early.

You cannot book a particular ferry sailing time - you need to turn up to the ferry sailing of your choice outlined above. Ferries will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
BUS SHUTTLE SERVICE
Ritchies provides a bus service from the North Shore to the Marathon and Half Marathon start utilising the 'Park and Ride' facilities at Albany and Constellation Drive, and at 488 Lake Road Takapuna.

You cannot book a particular bus departure time - please turn up to one of the departure locations outlined above and buses will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
POST RACE – BUS SERVICE*
Return trips are via the Northern Express buses run by Ritchies which depart at 15 minute intervals. Buses will be available from the bus stop outside Victoria Park Market on Victoria Street. Takapuna return trip returns to Akoranga & Smales Farm Stations. Transfer is then required to Takapuna Shops (no charge).
PRE RACE - BUS SHUTTLE
Ritchies provides a bus service from Lower Albert/ Quay Street, Auckland Central to the start at Smales Farm. Tickets cost $8.00. This is a one -way service only.

No public transport (bus or train) into downtown Auckland City exists before 7:00am on Sunday 29 October. Private car, taxi or Uber is the only option to get to the Bus Services at Victoria Park if you live in Central, Eastern, Western or Southern parts of Auckland.
POST RACE – BUS SERVICE
There is no return shuttle organised to take you back to the start of the 12km Traverse. Please use the Northern Express public service run by Ritchies. Buses will be available from the bus stop located in Lower Albert Street once the road is open again. Tickets for this service can be purchased while boarding.
PRE RACE – BUS SHUTTLE SERVICE
Free buses will transport Heart Foundation 5k Challenge participants from Victoria Park to the start assembly area at Point Erin Park. The buses will depart from Victoria St, outside Victoria Park Market from 8:20am with the last bus departing no later than 9:20am. You do not need a ticket for this service.
