Course updates - marathon & half marathon
As many of you are aware, there is development work being completed around Auckland City to ensure it is prepared to host the 2021 America's Cup. This includes work around the Silo Park area which is traditionally part of both courses.
Due to this work, we have replaced the Silo Park section of the course with a 1.1km section on the North Shore to ensure you are completing the full 42.195km or 21.1km.
The course will now take you left off Taharoto Road onto Dominion St, right onto Puriri St, right onto Karaka St then left back onto Taharoto Road.
Because of this change, the cut-off time at Smales Farm has been extended to 8:25am. All runners & walkers will need to reach Smales Farm by this time to ensure they will make it across the bridge before it needs to be re-opened.
